Soundproofing a Room by Window Blinds? Sounds Possible!

There are many ways to keep corporate secrets leak. We can shred documents into pieces, before the digital files in an encrypted format and even the sound of the conference rooms. The third way is difficult to apply because the sound of an entire room can cost time and money.

But the Japanese company in Tokyo, visually impaired has introduced a technology that can absord sound up to 60%, using common materials and is easy to install. Felton, as the name implies, has a name, and seemed to show normal tents, which can be put up with Windows, or the walls. The manufacturer says Felton blinds can be installed in almost two hours and costs up to 90% less than conventional sound-absorbing panels.

Stores work by absorbing the sound, but there must be a distance of 50 to 200 mm between the slats and the blank wall. They say that the layer of air contributes to the process of sound absorption.

While Felton is cheaper than the existing insulation, it is still not cheap. 2m x 2m blind to pay $ 1,500. Felton is currently available only in Japan, targeting business owners and home theater with children and families.
