Fundamentals
Reviving an age of mixtapes and recording top 40 off the radio on a Sunday afternoon, TDK ST-800 has a rugged retro feel you love or hate. Buff seams, metal and thick plastic mat, the quality is spot-on. Then there are gold-plated 3.5 mm audio jack adapter and a cloth bag, adds a nice rounded package.
Well
There are no faults the construction of these headphones. Plastic and metal hard, real leather, which covers both the belt head, which is a large and comfortable, without limit, the build quality justify the price demanded by TDK.
The graphic equalizer is a ten-step approach so you can refine the low and trembling, and you can really hear the difference when activated. But the design winning play for us is to be the volume control handy built in the right earphone. It's a simple thing, but it means you do not have to be willing to mess with your drive to get the perfect sound balance.
When it comes to sound quality, these headsets are compelling. With a rich, immersive hot enough, you will not find lower-end high-end hard or bothersome. Even cranked, we found the 50mm drivers stayed faithfully with no signs of distortion.
Poor
Weighing less than 420 g, is not the lightest helmet out there, so best for home use on the move. EQ-line works, but we must admit that there is a gadget and we are not convinced that only use the tone controls on your iPod or smartphone is not as effective.
The bottom line
Take a look at giving TDK ST-800, looks dated, but the interior is a state of the art technology. If you like the music speak, but not required, then you'll love the large volume of medium and low tones round, these headphones offer.
